Good Giving

Good Morning Pretties!

With all of the hurt going on in the world and the holiday right around the corner, I am sure I am not alone in feeling a constant sorrow for those going through such hard times.

My thoughts: Perhaps we may already have everything we want and need this Christmas?  Maybe there is something even "little ole' me" can to do help shed some light, love and compassion for others? Maybe there is something we can ALL do?

Today I urge anyone who may be reading this to GIVE (in a small but mighty way) this week.  It may seem too small to matter, but I assure you that no simple act of kindness or generosity is ever to small to  change someone's day for the better and help give them a sense of love and hope.

A few small ways that we can all make a huge impact:

1.) Take a minute to donate to the Sandy Hook Relief Fund. Click the link below to make a donation: Sandy Hook Relief Fund

2.) Quietly pay for the person's coffee who is behind you in line. Or... even better,  pick up their lunch tab and have the waitress tell them "Your lunch was paid for by the person before you! Happy Holidays".

3.) Take the time to help or talk to an elderly person or maybe a mother who is juggling her toddlers and shopping bags while out in the holiday craze. Sometimes just asking someone how their day has been or if you could help walk them to their car can be a breath of fresh air.

4.) For just $30 help give a needy child a box full of great gifts to open this Christmas: Operation Christmas Child. These children have nothing. The smiles and gratitude shown on their faces when they open their boxes are priceless!

5.) Shop local and leave meaty tips. Help support those in your community that work to provide amazing businesses for the members of your town.  Let your mail carrier, babysitter, dry cleaner, barista, etc. know that you appreciate them! Also, tipping high and wide is a generous way to share the love!

Love,
T
